Absolutely awful experience. Avoid like the plague!
Went for the Sunday carvery and found the staff to be unattentive, had to go up to the bar to get a drink, but others were served drinks at their tables.
The manager, who is called Mark, I found to be very rude and openly abusive to his staff, calling one of them an "efing idiot" in the kitchen when I and my 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son were within earshot.
The food was served very slowly, about 9 people in the queue for the carvery, 6 of them were our party but it took about 30 minutes to serve all of them, by the time we all had our dinners and sat down, the first three or four had gone cold.
Complained at the time but got not even an apology for the delay.
I have since been to The Knowle Inn about 3 miles down the road and have found that establishment to be most welcoming, proper home cooked food and friendly staff. If you're looking for somewhere to eat in the vicinity, go there instead
